Taking place on our earth, in our times, ‘The Secret World’ (TSW) is inspired by history and mythology, modern conspiracy theories and ancient mysteries.
The game blends elements of MMO gameplay with alternate reality gaming and social networking. There will be no character levels or classes, but a skill-based system. This avoid level grinding and starts the end-game right away instead of Level 50.
The Secret World will be released on PC and Xbox 360.

The Secret World uses the Age of Conan graphics engine.
Characters are highly customizable in their choice of clothing, weapons (ranging from shotguns to swords), and supernatural powers.
The game is story-driven with an overarching linear plot and numerous side-quests from investigation to sabotage and hunting. Gameplay is very diverse.

Like in Age of Conan, combat require the player's full attention. PvP areas of the game are in Agartha inside the hollow Earth, where the players will fight for the invaluable resource known as "anima"
